I am a loud person. I come from a lineage of loud people. Being loud is not something I can control actively. I am super conscious of the fact that I am loud but there’s not much I can really do about it.

I’m just naturally loud. You know, just like some people are naturally quiet.

Over the last few years, I have come to realise that there are many assumptions made about loud people.

1. Loud doesn’t actually mean someone is an extrovert

Loud doesn’t actually mean someone is an extrovert. In fact, quite the contrary. Loud people can be introverts. Loud people can be shy. It really depends on the individual.

2. Loud is not a sign of confidence

Loud is not a sign of confidence or strength at all. It’s most cases it’s actually a sign of fear, insecurity and vulnerability. Loud people often hide behind loudness because they think it makes them appear confident. Wolves in sheep clothing kind of thing.

3. Being loud can be a sign that someone isn’t that happy

Oftentimes, loud people are not actually that happy. They’re just constantly on the lookout for approval or appreciation. It’s a sad thing. People…
