I’ll start by saying I do not consider myself a climate activist. I do though consider myself a champion of sustainability.

If there’s one thing that MOST people can agree on independent of their ‘political’ beliefs is that a clean world is a good world.

While many climate activists shout at our political leaders to take action on the climate. Many of them forget about the small things that they can do. To take personal accountability and responsibility for their own consumption. But for a lot of these people that would be an inconvenient choice.

It all starts with small things.

Take coffee.

Something that is not a necessity to live. Some may argue this point.

Do me a favour though.

Close your eye for a moment and think about this.

Coffee beans have to be grown. Then these coffee beans need to be harvested and processed. Then these coffee beans need to be transported to their endpoint ready for sale. Then finally the coffee needs to be produced using high energy consumption coffee machines. This happens on average 2.2 billion times daily.

But thankfully you’re using a re-usable mug.
